{"id":203,"date":"2018-10-20T04:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-20T04:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/learts.thememove.com\/?p=203"},"modified":"2018-10-20T04:30:00","modified_gmt":"2018-10-20T04:30:00","slug":"under-the-radar-winter-set","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.orearts.com\/en\/2018\/10\/20\/under-the-radar-winter-set\/","title":{"rendered":"Under the Radar: Winter Set"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was designer\u00a0Steven Miller\u2014no slouch in the taste department\u2014who first showed me the work of Jenny Hacker, a San Francisco-based textile artist.\u00a0It was a blanket\u2014black on black\u2014with two different textiles fused together, one\u00a0side organic cotton and the other, felted wool.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A triumph of\u00a0texture and form, and\u00a0dramatic, organic, sophisticated, sensual, it was one of the most beguiling pieces of functional art\u00a0I\u2019ve seen of late.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Doing a little background research for the interview was no mean feat. At a time when so many tread the same art-meets-craft sales circuits and tend their Instagram feeds with greater passion than their craft,\u00a0this woman\u00a0was mysterious. A minimalist\u00a0website\u00a0was all there was. Even better.
